Code of Conduct for Students

Jnan Jyoti Educational Institution

At Jnan Jyoti, we aim to create a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment where every student can grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all students and promotes values of discipline, integrity, and responsibility.


1. Respect and Responsibility

  • Treat all teachers, staff members, classmates, and visitors with respect and courtesy.

  • Respect the rights, opinions, and personal space of others.

  • Accept responsibility for your actions and words.


2. Discipline and Behavior

  • Follow school rules and classroom instructions at all times.

  • Use appropriate language and behavior in school and during school-related activities.

  • Physical violence, bullying, teasing, or any form of harassment is strictly prohibited.

  • Students must move in an orderly manner in hallways and shared spaces.


3. Attendance and Punctuality

  • Be regular and punctual to school and all scheduled classes.

  • A written note or medical certificate must be provided for any absence.

  • Repeated late arrivals or unexplained absences may lead to disciplinary action.


4. Dress Code

  • Wear the complete school uniform neatly and with pride.

  • ID cards must be worn at all times while on campus.

  • Maintain personal hygiene and a clean appearance.


5. Academic Integrity

  • Complete assignments, homework, and projects honestly and on time.

  • Cheating, copying, or using unfair means in exams or classwork is not acceptable.

  • Respect intellectual property—plagiarism is strictly discouraged.


6. Use of School Property

  • Handle books, furniture, lab equipment, and other school property with care.

  • Do not deface desks, walls, or any school materials.

  • Any damage caused must be reported and may require compensation.


7. Mobile Phones & Electronic Devices

  • Students are not permitted to bring mobile phones or electronic gadgets to school unless specifically approved for educational use.

  • Unauthorized use of devices will lead to confiscation and disciplinary action.


8. Safety and Cleanliness

  • Keep classrooms and school premises clean.

  • Dispose of waste responsibly in designated bins.

  • Follow all safety rules during practicals, sports, and field trips.


9. Co-curricular Participation

  • Take part in sports, arts, and other school activities with enthusiasm and team spirit.

  • Show fairness, respect, and discipline during competitions and public events.


10. Digital Conduct

  • Be respectful and responsible in all online interactions related to school.

  • Cyberbullying, sharing false information, or misuse of digital platforms is strictly prohibited.

  • Always follow the school’s guidelines for online communication, including using appropriate language and behavior in emails, messages, or social media posts related to school.

  • Be Kind: Treat others online with respect. I will not engage in cyberbullying, trolling, or any harmful activities.

  • Be Responsible: Use technology for learning purposes and refrain from using devices for inappropriate or non-educational activities during school hours.

  • Be Honest: I will use trustworthy sources and give credit to others' work. I will not plagiarize or misuse digital content.

  • Be Ethical: I will follow all school guidelines for online behavior, ensuring that my actions reflect the values of our school.


Violation of the Code

Any violation of this code will be addressed by the class teacher, discipline committee, or school administration. Repeated or serious offenses may lead to suspension or other disciplinary actions after due process.
